Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative, and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.
Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level. Mentor Coaching should take place over an extended time (three-month minimum) in a cycle that allows for listening and feedback from the Mentor Coach while also allowing reflection and practice on the part of the Individual being mentored.

Virtual Achievements Academy is here to give you all the tools, frameworks and skills you need to be a successful coach, and the freedom and flexibility to develop your own coaching style. You’ll get fill in the blanks templates to build your coaching.
The mentor class starts exactly one hour after your standard coaching class has ended.
Please note: There will be 3 private 1 on 1 sessions scheduled with your mentor. These 60 minute sessions will be scheduled directly with your instructor.

There is no specific governing body in the coaching industry; however, ICF is the leading global organization for coaches and coaching. It has been theorized that the coaching industry one day may acquire a governing body. If this were to be the case, you would legally need to have a certification from a specific institution in order to continue to practice life coaching. Once you complete our Virtual Achievements Academy’s Certified Professional Life Coaching Program, you will receive your certificate and be a Certified Professional Life Coach.

For the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification path, you are required to have completed:

At least 60 hours of coach-specific training.

A minimum of 100 hours of client coaching experience.

10 hours of mentor coaching over a minimum of three months.

Coaching Knowledge Assessment (CKA).

Some schools who offer ICF accredited courses only offer half of what you need to actually apply for your ACC credential. And if you noticed the coaches listed above are all about one to one interaction, you’re right! But, you aren’t limited to one-on-one coaching. While there isn’t an average salary range, we look to the rate charged by the hour. The nationwide average salary for a Life Coach is about $160.00 an hour; Business Coaches make roughly $235 per hour; an Executive Life Coach charges an average of $250.00 to $500.00 an hour.
