Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative, and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies. Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level. Mentor Coaching should take place over an extended time (three-month minimum) in a cycle that allows for listening and feedback from the Mentor Coach while also allowing reflection and practice on the part of the Individual being mentored. Virtual Achievements Academy is here to give you all the tools, frameworks and skills you need to be a successful coach, and the freedom and flexibility to develop your own coaching style. You’ll get fill in the blanks templates to build your coaching. The mentor class starts exactly one hour after your standard coaching class has ended. Please note: There will be 3 private 1 on 1 sessions scheduled with your mentor. These 60 minute sessions will be scheduled directly with your instructor.

There is no specific governing body in the coaching industry; however, ICF is the leading global organization for coaches and coaching. It has been theorized that the coaching industry one day may acquire a governing body. If this were to be the case, you would legally need to have a certification from a specific institution in order to continue to practice life coaching. Many speculate if this were to happen, ICF would be the governing body to oversee the whole coaching industry. Some workforces such as Amazon have now set requirements for their hired coaches to have an ICF certification. Some corporate agencies in the United States such as Google, GE and Goldman are spending over 1 billion dollars annually on executive coaching. 83% of organizations plan to increase the use of coaching skills by managers & leaders over the next five years.

Once you complete our Virtual Achievements Academy’s Certified Professional Life Coaching Program, you will receive your certificate and be a Certified Professional Life Coach. Then, obtaining your ICF certificate is simple. By completing our program, you’re basically there! Here’s how it works. For the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification path, you are required to have completed: At least 60 hours of coach-specific training. A minimum of 100 hours of client coaching experience. 10 hours of mentor coaching over a minimum of three months. Coaching Knowledge Assessment (CKA). Some schools who offer ICF accredited courses only offer half of what you need to actually apply for your ACC credential. Don’t be fooled into taking a course only to realize it wasn’t enough to even apply for an ICF certification. Our Certified Professional Life Coach Program is specifically designed to meet all the criteria for ACC certification.

This means our program was specifically designed to provide you the educational foundation of coaching no matter your desired niche. Once you have gained the proper professional training through Virtual Achievements Academy, you are free to choose the area you want. And if you noticed the coaches listed above are all about one to one interaction, you’re right! But, you aren’t limited to one-on-one coaching. Many of our professionally trained coaches go on to provide group coaching; give large scale presentations; teach workshops; host seminars; and, even author books, journals, etc. Now since you have professional training, your possibilities are limitless!

While there isn’t an average salary range, we look to the rate charged by the hour. The nationwide average salary for a Life Coach is about $160.00 an hour; Business Coaches make roughly $235 per hour; an Executive Life Coach charges an average of $250.00 to $500.00 an hour. But these are simply some general guides to follow. It’s your coaching business. You set what level feels good to you, and you grow from there.
